Mountain Aid 2008

Join us and artist Kathy Mattea (and more) on June 19-21 for the first Mountain Aid held at the Shakori Hills festival site. Mountain Aid is a benefit for those affected by mountaintop removal in West Virginia and will also raise awareness of the effects of mountaintop removal on us all. A Hero Passes On

Legendary South African singer and anti-apartheid activist Miriam Makeba
passed away on Sunday November 9 after collapsing when leaving the stage
of a benefit concert in Italy. She was 76.  We found out through Arrested Development band member Speech. Read more about this amazing woman on Speech’s Blog.
