Volunteers
Volunteer sign-up for the fall festival will start in early august, dates pertaining to volunteering the fall festival will be posted soon along with some new guidelines about set-up volunteering. Please read the info below and check back for new info and sign-up. We look forward to working with you!
Without the great work of volunteers the festival would not happen! We’d love to have you be a part of the festival volunteer team. You can either earn a weekend pass to the festival by volunteering 12 hours of your time at the festival, or you can earn a day pass for three hours of work at the festival. Please read the following information and sign-up! Thanks for your interest in volunteering!
- You are not confirmed to volunteer until a volunteer coordinator contacts you!
- Volunteer sign-up deadline is TBA, if you have not signed up by this date you can sign-up when you arrive at the festival.
- If you have not been scheduled to volunteer by Monday October 6th You can be scheduled when you arrive at the festival, just come to the Volunteer window at the ticket booth.
- Sign-up deadline for set-up volunteers is TBA.
- If you miss the deadline you can sign-up for volunteer shifts at the ticket booth when you arrive at the festival…Don’t forget to bring a deposit.
- Please read the important information about volunteer deposits (below) before you sign up to volunteer.
- If you are under 18, you need to fill out a parental consent form, please call 919-542-8142 to receive one.
- Lest you be tempted, DRINKING IS NOT ALLOWED during volunteer shifts.
Deposit Information
Please Read!
If you are planning to use a credit card to make your deposit, it will only be accepted at the ticket booth when you check-in. We are no longer taking the numbers before the start of the festival begins.
If you haven??t completed your hours before the festival begins, then we??ll need you to give us a deposit for the full price of the ticket you??re volunteering to earn ($25 for a day ticket, $85 for a weekend ticket). This helps us make sure that everyone keeps their commitments and the festival runs smoothly.
You can give us your deposit one of two ways:
- By giving us a credit card number at the ticket booth, when you arrive at the festival. The card will be pre-approved but will not be charged unless you do not complete your hours.
- By giving us a check by the Monday before the festival, or dropping the check off at the ticket booth. The check will not be cashed unless you do not complete your hours. Your check will NOT be returned to you ? it will be ripped up once the volunteer coordinator confirms that you??ve completed your hours. If you have questions about the deposit requirement, please ask the volunteer coordinator when they contact you.
Once you have put down your deposit and confirmed your volunteer schedule, you are responsible for showing up to fulfill those shifts. Each crew has only so many volunteers for each shift, so it really affects how things run when volunteers don??t show up. If you must cancel, you need to do so by the Monday before the festival. After that there is no refund on your volunteer deposit. Your deposit will be cashed if you don??t come to the festival or if you don??t fulfill your shifts. (If an emergency arises, there are exceptions of course.)
