Love Your Voice

Are you living your dream or just dreaming about it?  These are exhausting and stressful times, so let’s put some joy in your life - lets’ all sing together and we’ll make Pittsboro the Singing Capital of NC!  

Many of you love to sing but have not had the opportunity to do so.  Here’s a chance to meet other adults who also love to sing but the life of an adult gets in the way – there’s jobs, shopping, cleaning raising families, and all that happens when we become adults.  So, now’s the time to go regain that youthful desire to sing your hearts out.  You will get Vocal Coaching, Improve Your Skills, Try New Techniques and you will really love your voice.  This is an adult only, active, nonjudgemental, safe environment.

We’ll meet each Tuesday in sunny downtown Pittsboro for six weeks from 6PM to 8PM starting September 15 through October 20.  

Although we’ll do some group songs, this is not a “sing-along” – it’s a Workshop.  Each class builds on the previous one so you’re never out of step. You’ll learn Breath Control, Phrasing, How to Learn New Songs, Vocal Exercises, How to Increase Your Range, How to Sing the “Truth.”  We’ll explore individual as well as group techniques including harmonies.  You’ll work on strengthening and relaxing your voice for optimal impact and you’ll take home skills to get you on your way.  And, Oh, did I mention ---it’s fun!!!!

It has been said by scientists that singers have greater circuit connections between right and left brain.  Also, it has been said by doctors, that singing alters our molecules resulting in an analgesic body feeling.  And it has been said by ----me--  that singing is just plain fun!!

We have done his program many times.  Shakori Hills is a great friend to our community and as such sponsors this program. There is no charge to attend.  However, any donations to Shakori Hills will be greatly and happily appreciated.

Who is this class for?  Anyone who enjoys being with and singing with other adults. Someone who will commit to attend each Tuesday to support each other and to learn from each other.  *Yes, life does get in the way and sometimes a class may have to be missed but know that your presence and your support honors each of us.
